While Show Me the World covers the majority of the cost for tips, we open up fundraising opportunities for students, such as selling merchandise and coffee, among other activities that cultivate leadership development, goal setting, entrepreneurial experiences, and community partnerships. The focus on nurturing a growth mindset and interpersonal skills are ever-present.
Projected costs per student for a full trip is approximately $3,000, and each transformative experience includes the following:
- Round trip coach flights
- All-inclusive insurance for lost bags/delayed flights
- Three meals a day, soda/dessert not included
- Eight overnight stays in budget hotels
- On-tour transportation
- Comprehensive sightseeing of natural attractions
- Full-time tour director
- Entrance to: Tortuguero canals boat ride, hot springs,
- Lake Arenal kayaking, La Fortuna Waterfall,
- Rincon de la Vieja National Park
